Asia Transpacific Journeys (ATJ) is a U.S. based Asia travel company and Asia tour operator providing travel to India, China, Bhutan, Japan, Australia, Vietnam and other destinations across Southeast Asia. Established in 1987, ATJ was created to promote cross-cultural understanding and encourage environmental sustainability.
Asia Transpacific Journeys’ founder and president, Marilyn Downing Staff, created an all-volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) non-profit that has funded an orphanage for children in Thailand, the building of classrooms at refugee camps, and has concentrated efforts on a successful Clean Water Initiative.
Partnerships have been formed with the Nature Conservancy, the National Wildlife Federation, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), and Carbonfund.org.
